February 24, 2025, marks the third anniversary of the start of Russia's all-out war against Ukraine. In cooperation with VITSCHE and other partners, we mobilize to join us for the "Vote Ukraine" demonstration, which will take place on 24 February from 6 PM at Berliner Dom. 

For nearly 11 years, Russia has been waging war against Ukraine. Three years ago, this war escalated into a brutal full-scale invasion. Every day, Ukraine loses territory—places where people live. Russian missiles and glide bombs destroy villages and cities, drone attacks terrorize the population, and civilian infrastructure is deliberately targeted. In the midst of winter, Russia aims to destroy power and heating supplies.

It is naive to believe and foolish to demand that Ukraine and its supporters should now make concessions in negotiations with Russia—after three years of brutal full-scale invasion, thousands of war crimes, destroyed cities, and millions of people living in fear, torture, and oppression. Russia is not only targeting Ukraine; it threatens our freedom, democracy, and the right to a secure life as well. It will not stop on its own—it must be decisively stopped.

With the upcoming Bundestag elections and the rise of populist and far-right forces, we must ask ourselves:

Do we stand for democracy, peace, and freedom—or do we allow tyranny and oppression to prevail?
