Berlin, 11th December 2007: On 11th of December in collaboration with the foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future” the European Exchange presented the study by Stephan Malerius, director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Vilnius, and Annegret Wulff, officer at the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg, "Democracy through education in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine". The event was held in the House of Democracy (Greifswalder Straße 4) in Berlin and was attended by around 100 guests. The study, published in July 2007, is based on school visits, but also interviews of teachers, politicians and representatives of NGOs: “In each school, there is an island of democracy. It is essential to find it and support it.”
