Stefanie Schiffer

Born 1965 in Heilbronn, Baden Wuerttemberg, studied Eastern European Studies and history in Tübingen and München.

From 1992 – 1995 work for the NGO “Deutsch-Russischer Austausch e.V.” in St.Petersburg (Russia) as a project manager and Director of the local office in St.Petersburg: Setting up of NGO support centres in Russian regions, organisation of international exchange programmes for Russian Third Sector professionals, human rights defenders, journalists.

From 1997- 2006 CEO of “Deutsch- Russischer Austausch e.V.” in Berlin.

Since 2006 CEO of the “European Exchange gGmbH".

 

 

Andre Grabinski

Born 1972 in Hamburg, studied History, Political Science and Eastern European Studies with a special focus on modern Eastern European history.

From 2002 to 2005 work for the "Deutsch-Russischer Austausch" and the "Heinrich-Böll-Foundation" as project and conference manager. Has worked as a freelance conference co-ordinator and project manager specializing on Eastern Europe.

Now operating as an occasional consultant for European Exchange.

 

 

 

 

Tetiana Katsbert

Born 1981 in Kyiv, Ukraine, studied Linguistics and Public Policy in Kyiv, Berlin and Budapest. 2008 Ph.D. in linguistics, Ph.D. thesis title: “National stereotypes in Anglo-German relations: linguistic and cultural perspective”.
During her studies worked for Goethe-Institute Kiew, International Centre for Policy Studies Ukraine, Center for Policy Studies Budapest and the Delegation of the European Commission in Ukraine.
2005 – 2007 Expert of the EU TACIS Project “Strengthening Civil Society” in Ukraine: capacity building for NGOs as main agents of social change in the country.
2007 – 2008 Project coordinator for “EURO 2012 infrastructure projects in Ukraine” at the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine.
Currently working as Expert on Ukraine projects (“Kyiv dialog”, “Transparent Ukraine”) for the “European Exchange gGmbH”.

 

 

 

Adam Busuleanu

Born 1977 in Raciborz, Poland, studied politics and journalism in Opole / Poland and Eastern European Studies in Berlin. Specialized on alternative movements in socialist Poland and on election monitoring in Ukraine and Belarus. During the studies worked on several civil society projects in Eastern and Central Europe.

Since 2004 several election observation missions in Ukraine and Tajikistan.

Since 2004 member and since 2007 board member of German-Polish Association Polmost in Berlin.

Currently working on a project to support human rights in Belarus.

 

 

 

Karolina Plaetke

Born 1977 in Zielona Gora, Poland, studied business management at the University of Applied Sciences in Wildau.

Since 2008 bookkeeping at the “European Exchange gGmbH".

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stephen Bench-Capon

Born in 1986 in Enfield, UK, but grew up on the Wirral. Stephen studied German and Russian at Cambridge University, with a particular interest in modern European politics. He moved to Berlin in the autumn of 2009 and is carrying out an internship at European Exchange before looking to continue his studies. He is married, with (currently) no children.
