European Exchange cooperates with NGOs in the new neighbour states of the European Union and thereby aims to strengthen the rule of law, social security and human rights protection throughout Europe.
Current activities focus on Belarus, Ukraine and the Southern Caucasus and include the organisation of the "Kiev Dialogue", an annual conference on German-Ukrainian relations, the support of domestic election monitoring networks and several programmes on civil society cooperation aiming to improve the mutual understanding and professional exchange between civil society actors in EU member states and in EU neighbour states.
